Bio
Hi,
I'm starting a journal because my sister, Kater, suggested it. I suppose I'll enjoy writing in a journal. I have written journals in the past, though nothing recent. Most of my "journaling" is in the form of letters to Kater and other friends.

As for myself, I'm a mother of 2 girls ages 6 and 3. My daily life mostly revolves around them and my husband. We also have a cat, but she pretty much takes care of herself.

My main hobby right now is card making. A friend of mine tried to get me to scrapbook. I even went out and bought a "starter kit" which included an album, some stickers, paper and embellishments. I dug through some photos of my daughter and I created a few pages. I got very excited about it for a while. I started collecting more paper and other scrapbooking supplies. I gathered photos that I though would be good pages and, well, I still have a sack of photos that are not scrapbooked. The last pages I did were from our vacation to Disney World back in Summer 2005. I realized that I enjoy photos of my friends and family. I even somewhat enjoy taking photos. I don't like to deal with them. Most of my photos are sitting on my hard drive. Of the "hard copy" photos I have, most are sitting in paper envelopes or, if they are lucky, are in albums.

There is not much different between card making and scrapbooking. Cards are just smaller and most of the time don't involve photos. I love doing cardmaking. When I'm in "the zone" I can make dozens in an afternoon. I get with friends for card parties and we all make cards and share ideas. The truly rewarding part is when you send one off and the person who gets it really loves it. The other thing is I always hated going to the store and spending upwards to $5.99 on a card. It's just stupid. I can make a really nice card for well under a dollar. Most cards average around 50c to make. I'd love to find a way to sell them, but for now I'll just send them.
